encouraging women toward hope and purpose along their road
I hail originally from the South and use my humor and love of women to convey God's message of hope for the trials we encounter. I have personally experienced how disappointment, discouragement, and loss can be overcome by the hand of a loving God. Growing up, I was the daughter of alcoholics and found myself alone at age twenty-one after heavy drinking took my father's life and my mother's suicide followed shortly after. Through my own testimonies of God's answer when I called, my mistakes, like all of ours, can be used for the glory of Jesus Christ. He does not grow impatient or weary as we fail, but lovingly draws us back to Himself.

All in all, I seek to live my life in response to God's call to mentor and be mentored, and do so in every aspect of my interaction with women. I love sharing and hearing what the Lord is doing in women's lives as the Word of God lives and moves within hearts.

My love and acceptance of women is evident in my ministries only as a direct result of the love and acceptance I have received from Jesus Christ. I believe that by adopting a similar attitude, that same love and acceptance will become contagious and an epidemic of kindness will follow.

That same draw has led me to pursue a life of service. For over twenty-four years, I have been involved in many aspects of women's ministries, including teaching various women’s Bible studies and training women in leadership development, as well as speaking at women's retreats, MOPS groups, women's conferences and more. My biblical teaching envelopes the truths of Scripture in the assurance that God has been our help in ages past and is our hope for years, even minutes, to come.
Further, my writing career is taking off as I have just finished my first book, “Arm Around Shoulder/Hand Over Mouth: Loving Lessons for Mothers & Daughters-in-Law”. Based on interviews with hundreds of women, I feel the need to encourage mothers- and daughters-in-law to continue on in great relationships with one another. I hope to pass on tools to survive the impossible ones, with love.
