encouraging women toward hope and purpose along their road

"It's never too late to be who you were meant to be!"

I believe that God wants to show us beauty to replace our ashes and hope for our despair as He reveals His purpose for our pain.

Beyond the Sea
(four part retreat message)

Women today live busy lives, wondering if they are on sinking sand or solid ground. They travel the deep waters of past pain, often afraid of what lurks beneath the surface. What if people knew their shame? This retreat message follows the mistakes of Jonah and yet his simultaneous usefulness to God. It offers a close look at this storm of correction and a wave of compassion from an all-loving God.

Plant Your Feet on Higher Ground
(four part retreat message)

Women have droughts, floods, and even hurricanes that can ravage their lives as emotions blow them from the security available in Christ as He helps us push aside the distractions of these emotions to see the truth and hope offered. Based on Jeremiah 17:7-8, I share how God's plan for each woman has been uniquely set before her. The skills learned help women return home with determination to continue the healing process toward abundant life in Christ.

Popcorn Christians: Are You Salted or Un-salted?
(four part retreat message)

As followers of Christ in the 21st century, how are we to be "salt and light" to a dying world when we struggle to be salt, and to be at peace, with one another? Based on Mark 9:50 and Matthew 13, Jesus calls us "the salt of the earth". Salt creates a thirst which cannot be denied. Do we just pop up on Sundays or in a church setting, or are we seeking to be used like salt as a flavoring that preserves? Mary Poppins said, "Just a spoonful of sugar..." Why didn't Jesus call us the "sugar of the earth"? This message challenges women to step away from the sugar and add a little salt.

Traveling Your Road
(four part retreat message)

In this age of cell phones and instant messages, we can miss God's best for us by ignoring one-on-one time with older women that have ventured further down their road with Christ. I share the importance of seeking wisdom from older women, as mentioned in Titus 2:3-5, as we set out on the road of following Christ. We must "find the Map", our source of direction to get roadside assistance along the way. Some of our roads seem to be closed, but if we are encouraged by sisters in the faith, we can break through those "dead ends" and pursue our highway to holiness.
